MONDAY HOMEWORK:

Today...teams presented their "picket sign" and discussed one of the major labor strikes.  At the end of the hour you were given the DBQ...look over the documents...for each one...in the margin do the following:

A. "What is the 'gist' of the document..i.e. the main point.

B. Provide specific answers to the BIG 4:
         1. Intended Audience?
         2. Purpose?
         3. Historical Context?
         4. Point of View?

You should be accumulating "cowbell" for the prompt and have "deconstructed the prompt."

Tomorrow...I will talk "politics and populism" (Will relate to Doc. E)

Takehome Essay:  Due Wed.  20 Points...you have the rubric!  Your will critique each others!

Typed...size 12 font single-spaced...5 paragraph...(Long Essay)...that includes the analysis of all, or all but one, of the documents...as well as outside information...mcb!!!!

When typing...anytime you refer to a document... (Doc. A)  or, document A... use bold!!!
