MONDAY NIGHT...YOU ARE WORKING ON ORGANIZING YOUR PAPER.  THE THREE CAUSES (POLICIES...PROTESTS...VIOLENCE) EVOLVE DURING THE YEARS 1763-1776. THE TIME LINE...LIST OF EVENTS...REPRESENT THE ACTIONS/REACTIONS BETWEEN THE BRITISH AND THE 13 COLONIES.  YOU SHOULD TAKE NOTES...BASIC FACTS...INCLUDING DATES...FOR EACH AND EVERY EVENT...PUT THESE NOTES IN YOUR NOTEBOOKS...GET A SENSE OF "CAUSE AND EFFECT."  ALL INFO COMES FROM ASSIGNED READING...YOU MUST HAVE MY 3 CAUSES INCORPORATED INTO YOUR ESSAY.

TOMORROW YOU WILL IMMEDIATELY BREAK OFF INTO YOUR TEAMS FOR THE PINKY COMPROMISE.  I WILL GIVE EACH TEAM A SHEET OF PAPER AND 2 MARKERS TO CREATE A "SLOGAN AND A SYMBOL" FOR YOUR TEAM...ONE PER TEAM...YOU WILL BET 10 MINUTES TO ORGANIZE.

WEDNESDAY AFTER SCHOOL...OCT. 14

Today was PSAT day...everyone should be caught up in your Interactive NB's to Stamp Act Crisis.  Refer to Teeter-Totter Title Page for The American Revolution...we are in "The Cause Phase".  If you missed any Crash Course... make certain you are up to snuff...we have watched Video #6... and have read up Pagaent to p. 128.  You should be able to write a two paragraph...one page ID on the Stamp Act Crisis...facts and significance...i.e. you should REALLY know it!

Here are 15 Events you are responsible for.  Read Pagaent, pp. 128-151...stop at "General Washington at Bay." Print, read and highlight Digital Ch. 9-13...you do not need to answer exercises.  You must include this information in your paper.

"To what extent were the 13 Colonies justified in Declaring Independence from Great Britain in 1776? In your analysis discuss the three (3) causes of the American Revolution as they emerged in the years 1763 to 1776. 

50 Points (a bit different this time)

One-Pager (Title Page) - 30 Points...follow rubric in Survival Packet to the tee!

Essay - Typed -Single-spaced, size 12 font, standard (legal) margins. (10 Points) Same rules apply, citing sources, etc.

AP RUBRIC = 9 Points= Grey Area Thesis...etc.

HOMEWORK TONIGHT...

Read your Document Packets on Stamp Act Crisis.    Close Read...Sourcing...Contextualization...and Corroboration...which of the sources was most valuable in gaining an understanding to the crisis?  Which of the documents are "Radical/Patriot/Rebel"?  which are 'Loyalist/Torries"? and which...if any are Moderate?

Which way is the teeter-totter tilting in 1766?  What is The American Revolution again? (50 years and 4 phases") ...next time you walk into the classroom...can you write a one-page 2 paragraph ID on Stamp Act Crisis?  Are all your Digital History exercises complete and thorough in your colorful Interactive Spiral Notebooks?  

I will give you your 2nd Takehome Essay prompt tomorrow after school. It will be due a week later.
