The United States is considered an associated power because we never entered in to a formal alliance with the members of the triple entente. We also never declared war on the Ottoman Empire or Bulgaria, further excluding us from being considered a member of the triple entente and the allies.
ReplyDeleteThe French won the battle of Verdun because they achieved their goal, to keep Verdun out of enemy hands at any cost, and the German's did not achieved their goal, to "bleed France dry", because, despite high French casualty rates, the Germans suffered equally as high of casualty rates.
I meant "bleed France white".
