Stay on top of your Ch. 8 reading on WWI...look carefully at all documents and charts...study your class notes...AND...watch Crash Course on WWI.  Zach is going to be disappointed they won't talk about Verdun!!!  Maybe Zach is "Me from the Past?"  Tomorrow we take a few more notes...and watch the most-rockinest video in history...like Wilson says ..."it's like writing history with lightning!!!"

  1. The United States is considered an associated power because we never entered in to a formal alliance with the members of the triple entente. We also never declared war on the Ottoman Empire or Bulgaria, further excluding us from being considered a member of the triple entente and the allies.

    The French won the battle of Verdun because they achieved their goal, to keep Verdun out of enemy hands at any cost, and the German's did not achieved their goal, to "bleed France dry", because, despite high French casualty rates, the Germans suffered equally as high of casualty rates.
