Happy Monday....Here are the directions/expectations for the "Andrew Jackson Project." 30 POINTS. (This is a game of "fetch"...you better bring back a rock!!!!) In class today we handed out a serious outline entitled "Jacksonian Democracy." Read it...annotate...highlight on the hard copy. This is an in-depth outline on Jackson's presidency. Below is an AP DBQ Prompt. You are to collect a "data base" of Cowbell from the following 3 sources. Organize your outside information into categories...partitions...that correspond with the question. THIS IS ENTIRELY AN OUT-OF-CLASSROOM-EXPERIENCE!
TASK A: I will ask to look at your progress tomorrow in class!
Outline Sources: (20 Points) I will collect your "outline"...it must be very obvious to me that there is information from all three sources. This will be a "thesis-proof." DO YOUR VERY OWN WORK!
A. Textbook, p. 95 - The Age of Jackson - take out 'cowbell' for the prompt.
B. Crash Course #14 - The Age of Jackson - watch it collect 'cowbell' for the prompt.
C. History Sage Notes - Jacksonian Democracy - read and extract even more 'cowbell' for the prompt.
This outline will turned in Wednesday...and will include a GRAY-AREA THESIS
PROMPT:
"Jacksonian Democrats viewed themselves as the guardians of the U.S. Constitution, political democracy, individual liberty, and equality of economic opportunity.
Using your knowledge of the 1820's and 1830's, to what extent do you agree with the Jacksonians' view of themselves?
