Helloooh!  Homework tonight: Chapter 2, section 2...interactive notebook...glue that thing in there and answer the questions thoroughly...and yes Neal...you must do the persuasive writing!... This is the last week of quarter one...SOOOOH....Quarter Exam Time...100 Points - 20 Multiple Choice Questions directly from Anthem (pp.4-49) ...just one point each.... 10 Chonological Order items...from Jamestown to Constitutional Convention...one point each...One ID - 20 Points...One Essay - 50 Points...WOW! Below are the essays and ID's.  We will lecture/discuss events related to Constitution-Building phase in class...prepare first for the exam...and second for the debate (which will occur next week).

ESSAY QUESTIONS
We will “pick a number” on exam day…you write on one! 30 Minutes of writing

Each answer should be 2 full pages in length. You will have 35 minutes of writing time during the exam. 

1. Describe the development and general characteristics of the 13 Colonies from 1607-1854.  What benefits have emerged? Conclude your essay with a discussion on the relationship between the colonies and England on the eve of the American Revolution.
2. What are the "Three (3) causes of the American Revolution? Discuss the course of events from 1763 to 1776.  Be certain to include in your answer references towards "mercantilism",  
 "salutary neglect", and "usurpation."  
3. Discuss the history of the "Constitution Building Phase" of the American Revolution.  Trace the years 1781 (after the end of the war) to 1789 (after the ratification of the Constitution/Bill of Rights). Was this nation's first governments based on "ideals" or on "interests."? And to what extent was this "revolutionary?"
